During this class, students will learn the basics of user-centered design - how to focus on the user in order to define products that are usable, useful and desirable. Students will learn how to represent users in a robust and thorough manner, and how to bring these personas to life through written scenarios of use. Then, students will learn how to visualize preliminary scenes and screens - storyboards of the users using your products to achieve their goals. At the end of this class, students will have the ability to move from vague requirements to concept designs, suitable for detailed design or implementation.
