Come learn how to safely prepare homemade pickles, chutneys, salsas, & jam!
In two hours, there will be:
- Hands-on instruction in pickling and canning - everyone participates..
- Food safety guidelines, proper equipment, new & creative recipes.
- Literal takeaway - take home a jar of delicious pickles!
All materials will be provided including veggies (based on what is seasonally available at the farmers' market).
Wear closed-toed shoes since we will be working with boiling water. It's a hands-on cooking class so no fancy clothes please. Everyone will get a chance to help pickle!
